Or are you graduating from art school and not yet ready for your own studio? Then Sukoon Studio’s Open Atelier might be just right for you.

Becoming a member at Sukoon Studio saves money and offers flexibility. We provide all the equipment and tools needed for virtually every form of ceramics and have a large workspace with professional flexible workstations for all members.

Membership type?

Our studio offers two types of memberships: the Drop-in Membership and the Open Access Membership. You’ll find more information below.

1. Drop-in membership

The drop-in membership is for people who would like to come work with clay about once a week.

With the drop-in membership we use a class pass. One class pass includes 12 clay sessions of 3h30 (including cleaning). You must book your session in advance via the booking software on our website.

During the sessions you can use the equipment, tools, and glazes on-site.
Not included: clay (available for purchase at the studio) and the firing fee of €10/kg.

1.1 Practical Information – Drop-in Membership

• Opening hours: Tuesday–Thursday 10:00–21:30, Friday 10:00–17:30, Saturday 13:00–17:00, Sunday 12:00–16:00 (closed on Mondays).

• During school holidays the studio may close in the evenings or on weekends. This will be communicated accordingly.

• One class pass includes 12 sessions of 3h30, valid for 4 months.

• All members get a personal storage space (90 × 45 × 45 cm) and access to shared storage.

• Members have access to: (flex) worktables, (flex) throwing wheels, materials, tools, personal storage, shared kiln firings, studio glazes, studio engobes, slab roller, extruder, cleaning & waste system, clay recycling service, tea & coffee.

• Different types of clay (stoneware temperature) are available for purchase on-site.

• Firing fee: €10/kg. Shared firing program: 960°C for bisque, 1240°C for glaze. (Firing fee may change depending on energy prices.)

• The drop-in membership does not include personal on-site support.

• At the start of your membership, you will receive a full introduction to the studio.

• No shared contracts or refunds.

1.2 Price – Drop-in Membership

• €336: class pass for 12 sessions (valid 4 months), or €28 per session (3h30). 

2. Open Access membership

The Open Access membership is for people passionate about ceramics who want to spend more time with their hands in clay.

It includes up to 15 hours per week of access to the Open Atelier. Sessions must be booked in advance via the booking software on our website.

You can use equipment, tools, and glazes, plus up to 6 kg per month at standard glaze firing temperature (1240°C). You also get your own storage space (90 × 45 × 45 cm). The only extra you need to buy is clay, which is available on-site.

2.1 Practical Information – Open Access Membership

• Opening hours: Tuesday–Thursday 10:00–21:30, Friday 13:00–17:30, Saturday 13:00–17:00, Sunday 12:00–16:00 (closed Mondays).

• Maximum allowed time: 15 hours per week.

• All members get a personal storage space (90 × 45 × 45 cm) and access to shared storage.

• Members have access to: (flex) worktables, (flex) throwing wheels, materials, tools, personal storage, shared kiln firings, studio glazes, studio engobes, slab roller, extruder, cleaning & waste system, clay recycling service, tea & coffee.

• Different types of clay (stoneware temperature) are available for purchase on-site.

• Fair use of studio glazes and firing service is included. Shared firings: 960°C bisque, 1240°C glaze.

• Membership includes 6 kg firing allowance per month. Anything above 6 kg is charged at €10/kg. (Firing fees may change depending on energy prices.)

• Open Access membership does not include personal on-site support.

• At the start of your membership, you will receive a full introduction to the studio. Please also read the studio’s terms and conditions.

• No shared contracts or refunds.

2.2 Price – Open Access Membership

• €230/month incl. VAT (2-month contract)

• €212/month incl. VAT (6-month contract)

• €200/month incl. VAT (12-month contract)
