Meet the team
Our Core team
The passion for ceramics brought Charlotte, Margot & Camille together.
The small ceramics studio quickly grew into a welcoming space where pottery enthusiasts can share their passion and new people can find their way into the world of ceramics. Our core team has grown from Charlotte as the founder to a team of three passionate souls.

Charlotte Abeloos
What began as a passion for clay, a drive to create, and a strong admiration for artisans culminated in her own brand. With this, Charlotte discovered a way to express herself through clay.
Charlotte fell in love with clay as a material, but even more with the process of shaping it. Her work combines three of her passions: nature, travel, and clay.
During her travels at home and abroad, Charlotte is always looking for natural materials that she can incorporate into her ceramics, from lava sand from Iceland to rock from Loch Muick in Scotland.
The search for materials and the experiments to incorporate them into her creations are just as important to Charlotte as the final result itself. It's a process in which she explores the authenticity of the raw materials and how they can best be expressed in her work. Charlotte rarely works with glazes, instead letting the clay and natural materials speak for themselves.

Margot Hoebus
Margot started working with ceramics during her training as a pediatric physiotherapist. It was the ideal outlet for her between studies.
Initially, she primarily explored the various techniques of hand-crafting, from functional tableware to vases. Later, she also began working on the potter's wheel, which opened up a whole new world for her.
Since then, Margot has loved combining all these different techniques. It's important to her that her ceramics stand out. She loves color and enjoys incorporating it into her work.

Margot and Charlotte together form the management team of Sukoon Studio. They are the magical duo that will lead Sukoon into a new future and tackle strategic challenges. They are also jointly responsible for all the studio's administrative tasks, such as answering your emails, creating schedules, maintaining the community, and much more.

Camille Vantomme
Camille is also an indispensable force in the studio. She's responsible for all operational tasks and keeps our studio afloat. She's the one who lovingly transfers all our students' and members' pots to and from the kilns, ensures the clay is recycled, creates all the glazes and engobes, and so much more.
We'd also like to introduce you to all the other instructors in our studio. A team of like-minded people with one shared passion: ceramics.

Melanie Landré
Mélanie's love for ceramics began during her high school years in South Africa. At 18, she moved to Belgium, where she studied ceramics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
Once her children were older, she was able to devote more time to her passion. She set up a studio at home and began experimenting with different techniques and glazes.
In 2021, she was given the opportunity to work full-time on ceramics. She can now fully concentrate on her own collection and teaching.

Sigrid Volders
Sigrid Volders has been active as a ceramic artist since 2013. Her work consists of hand-sculpted and more academically turned pieces.
Through the palette in her oeuvre, Sigrid demonstrates the ability to simultaneously execute technique, freedom and detachment.
This translates into her work through a unique and direct sense of honesty and intimacy. Sigrid's interest in the medium was sparked during her Earth Rope Pot Plant project, after which she began a part-time program at the Academy of Fine Arts.
Combining colours is her passion, partly due to her background as a make-up artist, which results in an endless glaze research and archive.
