Operations Manager – Studio
Are you our new colleague?
Are you a hands-on, practical person who enjoys rolling up your sleeves? Do you like working independently, staying well-organised, and taking responsibility? Then we are looking for you!
Your role
As Operations Manager, you ensure that everything behind the scenes of our ceramics studio runs smoothly. You are an essential part of the daily operations and make sure that both materials and the studio are always in excellent condition.
Practical information
- Start date: early September
- Work regime: 19 hours per week
Working days and hours:
- Tuesday: 10:00 – 19:00
- Thursday: 13:00 – 19:00
- Friday: 13:30 – 17:30
Responsibilities
- Recycling and processing clay
- Loading and unloading kilns
- Preparing and managing glazes
- Glazing pieces from trial classes
- Maintenance of wheels, kilns, and other studio equipment
- General upkeep and organisation of the studio
- Supporting daily operational tasks
Who are we looking for?
No specific diploma or qualifications are required. For us, motivation, responsibility, and a willingness to learn are most important.
You recognise yourself in the following:

- You learn quickly and pick up new skills easily
- You are willing to learn on the job
- You take responsibility seriously
- You can handle busy periods and varying workloads
- You are physically fit and have no back problems
- You work accurately and have an eye for order and cleanliness
Experience or affinity with ceramics is not required, but it is a strong plus and will help you integrate more quickly into the studio.

Teacher – Initiations / Try-outs
Profile
- You are (semi-)professionally active as a potter (full-time or freelance) and have completed solid training in ceramics
- You have strong wheel-throwing skills (cups, bowls, plates, jugs, vases, centering and opening)
- You have a basic understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of various ceramic techniques
- You enjoy working in a team
- Ceramics is your passion, and you are eager to share your knowledge with students within structured programmes
- You are willing to continue learning by assisting and observing classes with an experienced teacher
- You are enthusiastic, client-oriented, professional, and hands-on
- Experience in teaching or public speaking is a plus
- You align with our values: collaboration, entrepreneurial mindset, results-driven work, creativity, and customer focus
- You speak fluent Dutch and/or English
- Evening and weekend work does not discourage you

Before independently teaching a course, we ask you to first join as a co-teacher in a full course cycle with one of our instructors. This allows you to become familiar with the full curriculum and the studio’s way of working.
